Deploy a Python app for free in 3 steps

01

Connect your repository

Sign in and link GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket. Private repositories are supported.

02

We detect Python

Abasthan finds requirements.txt, pyproject.toml or environment.yml, picks your Python version and installs dependencies with pip or Poetry.

03

Live on your subdomain

Your app runs with your start command (e.g. gunicorn) at your-app.abasthan.app with SSL — every git push redeploys automatically.

What free Python hosting includes

The Free plan is a real production environment — the same platform paid apps run on, with a smaller resource allocation.

1 free Python web service (Python 3.10, 3.11, 3.12)
512 MB RAM and 0.1 vCPU
Django, Flask, FastAPI — any WSGI/ASGI app
Free your-app.abasthan.app subdomain
Automatic SSL certificates
Custom domains supported on the free plan
Auto-deploy on every git push
Environment variables, logs, SSH and in-browser terminal

When you outgrow free, pay per second.

Paid plans are always-on and billed only for the seconds your app actually runs, from prepaid USD credits — never more than the plan's monthly price. New accounts get a $3 welcome credit to try paid plans.

Free Python hosting FAQ

Is Python hosting on Abasthan really free?

Yes. Every account can run its first app on the Free plan at $0 — no credit card required. A free Python web service gets 512 MB RAM and 0.1 vCPU, a free .abasthan.app subdomain and automatic SSL. Additional apps run on paid plans billed per second.

Which Python versions are supported?

Python 3.10, 3.11, 3.12, selected per app. Abasthan detects your project from requirements.txt, pyproject.toml or environment.yml and installs dependencies with pip or Poetry.

How do I run Django, Flask or FastAPI?

Set a start command that serves your app on 0.0.0.0 — for Django, gunicorn myproject.wsgi:application; for Flask or FastAPI, gunicorn with your app module (FastAPI with the uvicorn worker: gunicorn -k uvicorn.workers.UvicornWorker main:app). Abasthan detects the listening port automatically.

Does the free tier sleep?

Free apps stay on while they're in use — an app that keeps getting visitors stays live. After 90 minutes with no traffic it rests to save resources and starts back up automatically on the next visit (that first visitor sees a brief loading page). Paid plans are always-on, billed per second of runtime.

How do I serve Django or Flask static files?

Serve them from your Python process with WhiteNoise — add it to your middleware and run collectstatic in your build command. No separate static host is needed.

Can I run background jobs like Celery?

Yes — deploy the worker as a Background Worker app from the same repository with its own start command. Your first app on the account is free; additional apps run on paid plans.

Can I use my own domain on the free plan?

Yes. Custom domains with automatic SSL certificates are available on every plan, including Free — or use the included .abasthan.app subdomain.
